I was bored, broke and desperately in need of a hobby. Born to a couple of Eastern European immigrants in 1994; I was raised on film. When I was about seven - around the time my parents separated, my dad and I began watching movies together frequently; two or three movies on our weekends together. This summer, when I quit summer school, these were my moms terms: I would have to watch as many films and read as many critiques as I could; and as a budding journalist, try my hand at writing reviews myself. So this here is a combination of my love for cinema and literature; serving as my “diary” throughout the journey.

GENRES
I was raised on European cinema (who lets a 10 year old watch Amelie?! My parents apparently… ) and classic American films; although I’ve a lot left to learn so look out for plenty of those. This blog will be a mix of my new fascination with the old, my love of European cinema and possibly a touch of “raunchy” Western comedy (that has sort of become my guilty pleasure).
